Our story

In 2007 I went to Japan for the first time with my parents and spent three weeks in Tokyo. I was 17 and fell deeply in love with Japan’s culture and especially its food. In the years that followed, I returned to Japan many times, and each visit strengthened the connection that would later lead to Okura Cookware, which I started with my companion in 2015.

What Japan taught me

Japan showed me that great cooking is built on balance, discipline, and respect for ingredients. It also made me fall in love with Japanese craftsmanship, where details are treated seriously and quality is something you can feel, not just claim.

Why titanium

Healthy food matters to me, so the materials I cook with matter too. We chose titanium because we see it as the healthiest solution for cookware, and when you combine titanium with Japanese craftsmanship, you get what we believe is the perfect pan: clean, strong, responsive, and made for daily use.

The Okura standard

Okura is more than cookware to us. We make titanium pans and knives for people who cook with intent and want tools that bring control, confidence, and calm to every meal, so the kitchen feels like a ritual you enjoy, not a task you rush.
