Caring for Your Pan (and Your Warranty)

Following the care guide keeps your pan performing for decades — here's how care and coverage fit together.

People sometimes ask whether they'll void their warranty by cooking "wrong." We'd rather frame it honestly than turn care into a list of traps. Here's how care and coverage actually relate.

Care and coverage, honestly

Your 25-year warranty covers manufacturing defects — flaws in materials or workmanship. Good care doesn't buy that coverage; it does something more useful. Following the care guide keeps your pan cooking beautifully and looking its best over decades of real use. Think of it less as protecting a warranty and more as getting the full value out of a pan built to last.

The essentials

Everything below is covered in more depth in the product-care articles, but if you remember just these, you're in great shape:

Normal changes aren't damage

It's worth repeating: heat tint and patina are expected and harmless, not defects and not misuse. They're simply the signs of a pan that's being cooked in. More on that in Why Is My Pan Discoloring?.

Keep your order number

For any claim down the line, your order number is all you need — it's how your warranty is registered to your purchase.
