Buying an Okura Set as a Gift

Cookware is a good gift precisely because it gets used. A few practical notes so it lands well and arrives on time.

Choosing something they'll actually reach for

Order earlier than feels necessary

This is the part people get wrong. Most orders take 6 to 15 business days in total: 1 to 3 business days of processing plus 5 to 12 business days in transit. Around major holidays, delivery can run longer than usual. If the gift has a date attached to it, give yourself real buffer — see How Long Delivery Takes.

Shipping to their address

You can enter a different delivery address at checkout. Two things to know: we can't ship to P.O. boxes or military addresses (APO/FPO/DPO), so use a street address. And your confirmation and tracking emails come to you, not to them, so the surprise stays intact.

Gift notes, wrapping, and receipts

We don't currently offer gift wrapping, gift messages, or gift receipts at checkout. If you need something specific handled for a gift order, get in touch before you order and we'll tell you honestly what we can and can't do rather than promise something at checkout that isn't there.

If it isn't right for them

Items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, unused and in original packaging with accessories included. Note that the 30 days run from delivery, not from the occasion — so a gift bought well in advance may fall outside the window by the time it's opened.
