Payment and Checkout Problems

Declines, verification prompts, and wallet errors — what to try, in order, before reaching out.

Getting stuck at the last step is genuinely annoying. The good news is that most checkout problems come from a handful of causes, and they're quick to work through.

If your card is declined

We never see why a bank declined a payment — only that it did. Your bank does know, and calling the number on the back of your card is often the fastest fix. Before that, check the obvious things:

  • The card number, expiry date, and security code, one character at a time.
  • The billing address. It must match what your bank has on file, not the delivery address.
  • Whether your card allows international transactions. Some cards block them by default.
  • Available balance or credit limit.

Verification prompts

Many cards use an extra verification step at checkout — a code by text, or an approval tap in your banking app. If that window closes, times out, or you dismiss it, the payment fails even though the card is fine. Start the order again and complete the prompt when it appears, and keep your phone within reach.

Pending charges that aren't charges

A failed attempt can still show as a pending authorization on your statement. It isn't a completed payment and it typically drops off on its own within a few business days. If you tried several times, you may see several — they resolve the same way. If one is still sitting there after that, tell us and we'll confirm what did and didn't go through on our side.

Wallet payments

If a wallet payment fails, check that the card inside the wallet hasn't expired and that the billing address stored there is current. If it keeps failing, try entering the card details directly instead.

Browser-side fixes worth trying

If the page won't load, the button won't respond, or checkout keeps looping back:

  • Refresh, or reopen checkout in a new tab.
  • Try a different browser, or your phone instead of your laptop.
  • Turn off ad blockers or privacy extensions for the checkout page.
  • Clear your cache and cookies, then start again.

Did the order actually go through?

If you're unsure, check for an order confirmation email — including spam and promotions. No confirmation email means no order was placed, whatever your statement shows.

Still stuck? Tell us
